After the farm

The land was later developed for housing.

1994–1996 — Churchview Close

Record:

EV-0276 (Legal Wiki, Evidence Register)

The village green was regrassed: “It enabled the council to pay contractors working on the nearby Great House Farm housing development to improve the grassed area” (SWE 22 Apr 1995).

What the record shows. Press reports of 1994–96 record that Ideal Homes (Wales) built Churchview Close on the farm land, with first buyers by January 1995.

What it does not show. Housing history is outside this book except as the end of the farm’s story.

What survives of Tŷ Mawr is in records and photographs: the 1974 survey, the album, the archaeology reports, and the objects in museum stores.
